Why

okie i'm a copy cat. but i can't help. wenjun and yijie both had this song lyrics on their blog and i also wanna share it. this song really touched me. as i listen with the lyrics, i felt the sharp pain in me. it was as though i was present when Jesus was on the road to calvary. His death on the cross was vividly floating in my head.

Why-nicole nordeman

We rode into town the other day
Just me and my Daddy
He said I'd finally reached that age
And I could ride next to him on a horse
That of course was not quite as wide

We heard a crowd of people shouting
And so we stopped to find out why
And there was that man
That my dad said he loved
But today there was fear in his eyes

So I said "Daddy, why are they screaming?
Why are the faces of some of them beaming?
Why is He dressed in that bright purple robe?
I'll bet that crown hurts Him more than He shows
Daddy, please can't you do something?
He looks as though He's gonna cry
You said he was stronger than all of those guys
Daddy, please tell me why
Why does everyone want him to die?"

Later that day the sky grew cloudy
And Daddy said I should go inside
Somehow he knew things would get stormy
Boy was he right
But I could not keep from wondering
If there was something he had to hide

So after he left I had to find out
I was not afraid of getting lost
So I followed the crowds
To a hill where I knew men had been killed
And I heard a voice come from the cross

And it said, "Father, why are they screaming?
Why are the faces of some of them beaming?
Why are they casting their lots for My robe?
This crown of thorns hurts Me more than it shows
Father, please can't You do something?
I know that You must hear My cry
I thought I could handle the cross of this size
Father, remind Me why
Why does everyone want Me to die?
When will I understand why?"

"My precious Son, I hear them screaming
I'm watching the face of the enemy beaming
But soon I will clothe You in robes of My own
Jesus, this hurts Me much more than You know
But this dark hour I must do nothing.
I've heard your unbearable cry
The power in your blood destroys all the lies,
soon you'll see past their unmerciful eyes.
Look there below see the child trembling by his father's side.
Now I can tell you why, he is why you must die.

wait till you hear the song and you'll cry.

my adventurous sunday

was suppose to go to the hospital b4 church to bring some red dates drink to sister.
thinking that i had lotsa time to waste, i took my own sweet time to get changed and stuff.
went down to the carpark at bout 9 odd.

happily thinking that the day will be good and...the car died on me. the battery was weak.
thankfully someone came to my rescue. the uncle and his family were nice enough to spend quite sometime with me, figuring out what exactly we can do to "bring the car to life".

though they were in a rush to church but they willingly helped. and of course finally the car worked. i prayed hard that the car won't die on the road and yeah i survived from home to thomson medical centre to church and back home.

let praise arise finally ended. was so scared when i had to play. somehow it felt different from usual playin on sundays. wells. its quite a nice experience. and all their voices were superb la.

oh and i've finally completed 6 papers and last one to go. so not in the mood for books now. but wells. life as a student is to mug. and enjoy the process of sch. life will be diff at work and many said its worse. alrights. will see.

study deceptions

if like what many thought, no blog entry means studying then u're wrong! i've been studying. no doubt. but not always. anyway did so many things after the last entry. hard to pen down all.

wenta zoo with my lovely group members on 28th oct for fellowship prog. fun but got a lil' tired of walking and seeing the animals. i missed all the animal shows. sob. been ages since i went there.

then study study talk talk play play slack slack...

11th nov, orpc had its annual carnival.
woke up in the morning, intended to study and attend fellowship after that but it was a total flop! no signs of books or notes that whole morning. mummy suggested that i send her to church and i'll getta use the car. sounds like a good idea to me and so i went with her back to the church i grew up in.

the feeling when i stepped into the compound was indescribable! i missed the good old times when my church friends and i played tog, have lunch tog, attend services and fellowship tog. reminiscences.

saw a few familiar faces as i stepped into the hall where the carnival was. it just felt good to be back there.

frankly speaking, i really miss my old church. miss the atmosphere. miss the ppl. but i know its never gonna be the same again even if i really go back. the friendship and relationship that was so strong in the past had faded. i'm satisfied in the current church now. i can see myself growing deeper in His words and i never regretted my decision to stay on in s-word rather than orpc but the memories held dear in orpc will stay with me to my grave.

okie back to reality. exams' like in a few days time and i've been so distracted by things around. still it felt good to be back to orpc and i never regretted trading off some time or quite alot of time studying with the visit.

alright. time to study again. really scared this time.
