hark music cafe

meet up with weilun on 17th march for dinner.

he's someone whom i dunno how we gotta get so close. but its plainly platonic. =) its amazing how we can hang out with each other though we dun meet up often and still enjoy the times together. really a blessing to have him as a friend indeed.

met at PS in the evening with no place to eat in mind. wanted to eat at manhattan watever there but there was a long queue. in fact everywhere's filled with ppl. like duh! its dinner time.
ended at TCC outside PS. the foods' not too bad. cushioned sofa's the best reason why u shld go there. comfortable!

he brought me to this place at princep st to chill after that. Hark Music Cafe.
a really cosy place with nice ambience.

the best part bout the cafe is that you getta dedicate songs and you can choose to only listen or to sing on stage.

after much deliberation, we decided to juz go up and sing a song as well. quite scared but watever la. tot its gonna be really fun. so he wrote on the slip of paper provided at our table and passed it to the waiter.

audience can only start singing after 10pm. they started this segment of the night's programme with the guitarist and pianist singing 2 songs, allowing the 1st singer to warm up.

the first singer was from our neighbouring table and she sang really well. we started to feel really stress and wanted to chicken out. looking at the overwhelming response from the audience, we tot it'll take quite awhile b4 we could go up. so decided to leave after awhile without singing. but who knows, we were actually the 3rd. argh.

i walked reluctantly to the stage. was totally unprepared for it. but well. its too late to regret now. we sang wu ding by jay chou and landy. i was so not confident that the mic was quite a distance away from me, as a result, i was quite soft. surprisingly, my dear friend can sing really well. so embarrassing for me. we never even sang tog before and we went on stage! :S
less the embarrassment, its actually a very fun thing to do! we've decided to go back again the next time. prob after exams. and sing again, but with "practises" b4 goin up. ha

though it was a short time spent tog. really treasure this friend of mine!

18th march marks the 1st day of a new YF.

S-Word EFC Youth Fellowship. love da peepz to bits. we really had a wonderful fellowship together.

woken up by michael yam at 615am. meet the rest at 7 and took his car down to ivy's place. bought mac's brekkies for her.

when we were there, she was so shocked that she ran one round from the kitchen to her room. so funny!

gonna miss her to bits man! finally i din miss the chance to send her off. it was so warmth to see most ppl in fellowship willing to wake up extra early to see her off.

my first public "performance"

its been a long week for me though i din go to sch on fri and had free day on wed. but i did something constructive! =)

played piano for dot's sis wedding at four seasons hotel on 15th march. it was juz for reception. i apologise for being not really prepared for it.

its really quite scary doin public performances (not like its some solo concert, but still its rather stressing!)

it feels really different from playin in church. somehow i enjoy when i serve on sunday. enjoy the music. enjoy the ppl.

okie back. was so glad that dot was with me the whole time. if not i would have been so lost, not knowing how to cope with the 1 hr sitting around and playing alone! thanks babe! was asked to stay for the dinner, thought it was weird but had to stay as her sis reserved a place for me.

attended soooo many weddings recently. so sweet and nice. when will mine come? or it will never? waiting patiently for God's plan for me! =)

interesting weekend!

harn's bday celebration at safra chalet. nice place. nice ambience.
theme was stripe. everyone was in stripes. uniform. quite nice actually.
after the cutting of cake, the whole chalet turned into a dance floor. as expected. totally feels like you were in the club.

din really wanna dance. so decided to go home early. at bout 12.
its really tiring to drive all da way from east to west. i died when i reached home.
it was a birthdae party well done.

ntu open hse. unwillingly woke up at 8 to help lenny set up the stall. ran here and there to collect stuffs. tired.

the min i step home. sis asked if i wanna join them for tim sum at copthorne king's hotel. i got changed and joined them.

went for kangling's wedding after the lunch.
it was so sweet. i was reminded of my sister's wedding 2-3 yrs back.

went with wenjun, rebec, ivy, kaiwei, genhong, genxian, sinliang, justin, jiahao for this play "on the edge" at scgs to get inspiration for our EO prog in aug. its an outreach prog organized by princep st presby church. well done.

church's walkaton. up bukit timah hill. din expect it to be so steep. stupid me, michael, genhong, genxian, zoey, justin wanted to run up the stoopid steep slope and i died halfway. super unfit. we were panting and sweating like mad but the rest who walked up looked so clean. it was nice to see the entire church involved in this kinda event. so warm.

wanted to go suntec to visit the ntu peepz involved in NVM. so i dragged genhong with me.
we drove all da way down to suntec but there was a massive jam even b4 we could enter the carpark. so we decided to leave that place. drove without any directions. turned anywhere i felt was correct. ended up at alexandra. some hongkong eatery juz opp. alexandra hospital.

as we were all tired of travelling in da car and needa the loo. we settled at that place. initially we wanted to eat at NYDC at suntec. then changed to marche. then ended up at the coffee shop place. down graded. but it was a blessin in disguise actually. the food was good. =)

it was really fun to have such outings. we'll have it again. da whatever trip gang. ha

i just scratched my dad's car! argh. so careless.

i seriously think i'm a lousy and reckless driver.

Dear God, I pray that i'll be a better drive. for the benefit of the other ppl's lives and mine. I pray that i'll not be so reckless and kan cheong (kept wanting to drive fast) but will be a more considerate and responsible driver! thank you!

She's like the cutest among the crowd on my bday la. seems like the limelight's on her rather than me. everyone's obsessed with her. including me. ha =)

She's like the longest friend i ever had. knew her since 3 yrs old.

thanks to all for the nice.expensive presents. esp to my uncle. he came all da way from U.S to visit us and it was pure coincidence that he arrived on the day of my celebration. an unexpected guest with an unexpected gift. the anne klein watch.

it was a nice and pleasant party though i din getta talk to everyone personally. apologise for the bad hosting. wanna thank everyone who came despite their busy schedule.

after packing up, the ntu peepz went to cine to watch wolf creek. pls. don't watch it. it sucks big time. its a total waste of time. no plot. juz about serial killing. all thanks to poo that we watched that "interesting" show.
